This method involves two major steps to import lotus notes mail into Outlook 2016 and all below editions. Some of them are discussed below:
a) Export IBM Notes emails in CSV file
b) Then, Import CSV file in Microsoft Outlook
You can transfer Lotus Notes NSF to CSV format with help of following the set of instructions:
Launch Lotus Notes application on your local machine and then, open NSF database files in it
Click on the File menu and choose Export option from the displayed menu
The Export wizard window is opened in which you have to browse the desired location for an exported file. Hit on Save as a type and select Comma Separated Value / Structured Text option
Enter the name of a resultant file and choose the Export button
If you must have selected the Structured Text option then, you can skip this Step. Else, the dialog box appears in which you have to choose the options and press OK button
A Structured Text Editor box will appear in which you have to select the reliable options and click on OK
Till now, you must have created a .csv file of IBM Notes database. Now, you can import this file into MS Outlook program. You can follow these steps:
Open MS Outlook on your PC, go to File menu and select Open & Export option. Then, chooseImport / Export.
Import and export panel will get open where you have to select Import from another program or file and press Next
From the given listed options, click on the Comma Separated Values (CSV) and hit on Next
Click on Browse for adding the CSV file that you have created from Lotus Notes mail client
Once the file adding is done, the radio button of replace duplicates with items imported is enabled and click on Next
Choose the particular folder of Microsoft Outlook in which you need to import data and click the Nextbutton
This may consume a couple of minutes in completing the entire procedure. When this process gets finished, click on Finish to complete email migration from Lotus Notes to Microsoft Outlook
